Company History

The company Ing. Karel Smetana, SM-DATA® was established in 1991 based on regulated trade of accounting services and consultancy.

Gradually, the company broadened its range of activities to include financial consultancy,   development of economic analysis for the producers of economic programmes and economic consultancy on a hotline. In 1997 Ing.  Karel Smetana became certified as an auditor. Certificate No. 1741. 


The present

The company now has its own premises, which has enabled us to carry out some technical solutions and invest in the necessary equipment. We have invested in sophisticated technologies and we are now developing them using an MS-SQL database platform. This will help to store and classify more information providing the best possible service for clients through improved productivity.


Future

We want to focus on professional development so we are investing a lot of money in this field. We are also extending our services in accounting, auditing, tax and accounting consultancy and all related activities. We are now able to offer online accountancy solutions.

In the area of accounting we are planning to cooperate closely with clients in Helios Orange. This environment,  using the MS-SQL database platform, enables us to communicate on-line with clients and,  with the client’s consent, take over all aspects of the client’s accounting department (from issuing documents to communicating with the bank ).  In the near future we will be able to operate 100% electronically, incl. integration of entries. This stage depends only on the speed of implementation of electronic signatures and related communication in the Czech Republic.

In the area of taxes we aim at obtaining an online communication with the state administration bodies by means of electronic signature keys (we are already well-prepared for this option ), which will make the tax affairs of our clients more effective, faster and of better quality.  If we have full power to take over the client’s tax affairs, our activities will be more effective and faster. 

In the area of complementary services, we focus on extending these services and consultancy work in the area of accounting, taxes, contract optimization, improved effectiveness of information systems and help with purchase and implementation. Our aim is to offer complete business mergers in cooperation with our contractual partners (i.e. development and implementation of the merger plan and schedule of works in respect of binding deadlines and relevant accounting, tax and registration agenda).
